- Hike
- There are a variety of trails to explore in the Smoky Mountains. No matter your hiking abilities or experience there is a trail just right for you. The Ramsey Cascades trail is scattered with wooden plank bridges. It’s a trail perfect for all ages. You could also take a peak above the trees and hike along the Chimney Tops trail. The view at the top of Chimney Tops Trail is breathtaking, and it’s also the perfect picnic spot. Once you tackle these two trails there are plenty more to choose from! Every trail has something spectacular to see.
- Zip Line
- Get up close and personal with the trees. Zoom down the mountain side in the safety of a harness. Look at the Smoky Mountains from a different, more adventurous, perspective. Zip lining is the perfect way to spend a summer day. Listen to the birds as you zip past their nests to the base of the mountain. Explore the forest from above.
- Bike
- Take the family biking on Cades Cove Loop Road. You’re bound to see some wild life along the way! Don’t be surprised if you see a bear, or a fox, or wild turkey… or all three! The bike loop is also lined with gorgeous historic buildings. Pieces of history are built along Cades Cove Loop Road. You get to see a little bit of everything on this 11 mile ride. Another family friendly bike ride follows the road from Mills Park to Bear Mountain. There is nothing like a lung full of fresh mountain air on a refreshing summer day.
- Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster
The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is the perfect balance of adventure and nature! The roller coasters are built among the grooves in the mountain side.
