Coorg, Karnataka

This is one of the most beautiful travel destinations in India to visit in the rains. It has gorgeous scenery and is dotted with some vast coffee plantations. Also in the rains, the waterfalls are in full bloom and one can also go for a trek to the highest peak of Tadianmol. Madikeri fort is another pleasant sight to visit here. If you are lucky enough, then they can also get a glimpse of a rainbow. Coorg is a 5 hours drive from Bangalore via road and the closest railway station to reach here is Mysore city. Also, it is a great idea to drive till Coorg in this rainy season.

Shillong, Meghalaya

This place is located in the abode of clouds and this place is famous for its captivating beauty. The hill town looks amazing during the monsoon. Here, the misty clouds, roaring waterfalls and lush greeneries welcome you. In monsoon, the must visit places here are the Spread Eagle Falls and the Elephant Falls. Also, one should not miss to taste the local delicacies here. The nearest railways station to reach Shillong is in Guwahati which is almost 149 kilometres away. The national highways are also a good connection if one wants to go by road.

Munnar, Kerala

This hill station is said to be a paradise. Rains add some more magic to it. Here the misty mountain tops welcome you with some green tea plantations. Munnar is also said to be a bit crowd free and so one can embark on the trekking trails and walk through the tea gardens in peace. Also, one should definitely try their hand on delicious Kerala cuisines. From Cochin, it is almost 3 hours drive and the nearest railway station is at Aluva. One can also take a bus ride till Munnar.

Valley of Flowers, Uttarakhand

Monsoon is the best time to visit this place. One can get to see flowers of every possible shade to bloom after rain here. So, one can enjoy more than 400 varieties of flowers here. This valley is a national park where one can reach after covering a distance by trekking. It is not that much tough to trek this route but when reached the view is quite blissful. One can reach Ranikhet and then to Govindghat by bus. From there, they have to trek at least 18 kilometres to reach here.

Udaipur, Rajasthan

Though this place has very low rainfall but it had a very pleasant climate in the monsoon. This city is snuggled in the lap of Aravallis and has a number of lakes. It is also stated as one of the most romantic abodes in India. One can reach here by train or by road or by air.
